Christmas Appeal

November 1st, 2011

Christmas for many around the world is a different time of year to what Christmas is like for most of us in Australia. This year Friendly Tech will be donating 10% of all sales for the month of November and days leading up to Christmas day to Compassion.

Compassion is an international Christian child development and child advocacy ministry committed to working in partnership with local churches around the world to foster the spiritual, economic, social, physical and emotional development of children living in extreme poverty in over 26 developing countries.

Compassion’s holistic child development programs are unique in being delivered in partnership with local churches in developing countries. These local congregations can best identify the specific needs of children in their community and are able to contextualise our programs to drive change in their own community. Because we believe that it’s not enough to simply feed a child in poverty without introducing them to the source of life, Jesus, our programs address not only the physical needs of children and their families, but also their spiritual needs through bible-based teaching.

Sponsoring children in need is breaking the cycle of poverty
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training.
Today, Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 26 countries.
Please also remember Friendly Tech provides a wide range of other services that could be kindly given to others as a gift such as a computer tune or computer lesson.
I hope you enjoy this special season where we reflect on what really matters.

Kind Regards,
David Dienes
